Fresh drop today – "How College Basketball Got Pranked by a Fake School: The Maguire University Story" – and Barstool Chicago crushed it! Judge Danny Kelly (our 1994 Hall of Famer) and Pete Brown (1999 inductee) brought the perfect mix of nostalgia and chaos telling the origin tale. The fake NCAA application, fabricated records (football, basketball), free Final Four tickets/hotels, the hospitality suite antics, exposure by Bill Jauss in Chicago Today then picked up on a global scale by other news organizations, and how it all morphed into decades of friendships, annual trips, Hall of Fame inductions, talent shows, coaches parties and "We Play Hurt!" vibes. Classic Chicago mischief turned lifelong legend – you nailed the storytelling and interview.
